So, you've got your team, you've got your goals and you've got your ... assumptions that your team will get you there? The inability to communicate effectively is the stop gap between your idea and its fruition, both internally and externally to your end user.
I am a strong believer that communication is a universally, basic need; there is nothing more vital to every human than the need to be communicated to whether expressed visibly or audibly. From a brand to its consumer, the repetitive nature of communication can dictate many things: care through a text reminder, urgency through a website banner or even a sense of calm from an email. In order to successfully communicate, internal and external voices must be in sync!
INTERNAL COMMUNICATION // Sometimes, the right people are in the wrong role, and clearly defining their skillset to align with a company's mission requires strategic internal communication.
EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION // A professional representation of you and your company are always desirable (and expected); however, even if your title includes the words Founder, Vice President, or Owner it does not mean your messages or communication are well-received. Learning how to communicate with your audience opens doors for you and your employees.
In smaller organizations, finding the right fit can be challenging (or financially out of reach), but utilizing your team in the right way can improve internal engagement, create positive outcomes and allow for external growth and communication!
